Most junior players who rise through the ranks in British padel come from tennis, squash, or badminton.
Stan Hunt Padel didn’t.
His background is football and cricket — no racket sport experience at all.
And yet, in just over 2 years of training with the British Padel Academy (BPA), Stan has gone from total beginner to Team GB U18 athlete, with results that speak for themselves.
This is one of the clearest examples of raw sporting ability, athleticism, and coachability translating into rapid progress on court.
Training With BPA in 2024 — Building the Foundation
Stan spent 2024 training intensively with the British Padel Academy, committing to weekly sessions, matchplay, physical preparation, and video review.
This period laid the foundations: technique, footwork, wall work, positioning, tactical patterns, and decision-making.
The work was consistent, focused, and humble — and it showed.
2025 became the year where all that effort turned into results.
Stan Hunt Padel – A Standout Season of Results
🏆 Grade 3 Win – March 2025
Stan picked up momentum early in the season with a Grade 3 victory, showing a new level of dominance and consistency.
🏆 adidas HOP Tour Winners – Epsom (March 2025)
A huge early-season benchmark — this win demonstrated his growing maturity in high-pressure matches.
🌍 FIP Promises – Bristol (U18 International)
Partnering with Liam De La Mare, Stan became one of the first British juniors ever to reach the semi-finals of an international U18 padel event on home soil.
A major milestone for both players — and for British junior padel.
🌍 FIP Bronze – Gothenburg
Stan qualified for the main draw and faced the 5th seeds, ranked inside the top 200 in the world.
He said afterwards:
“Playing at that level was an incredible experience. We played a high level of padel against some of the best, and there’s a lot to take away from it.”
A breakthrough moment — and a sign of where his ceiling could be.
🎾 Stratford Grade 1 – Quarter-Finals (November)
Another strong run, showing he belongs in the later stages of top national events.
🎾 Slazenger Grade 2 – Semi-Finals
A strong week of padel, including a superb 6–2, 6–2 win in the quarter-finals, showing improvements in control, consistency, and shot selection.

Representing Team GB U18s
Stan’s selection for Team GB’s U18 squad capped off an incredible rise — and he delivered.
The team opened their campaign with 10 consecutive wins, with Stan playing a key role.
Composed, aggressive, competitive and improving every match.
Training Meets Experience — The Real Difference
The combination of high-level training and exposure to international competition has played a big role in moving his game to the next level.
At BPA, we’ve seen Stan’s development accelerate as he’s been tested against more experienced opponents — all while continuing to sharpen his game back home.

What Makes Stan Special
No racket background — yet adapted faster than anyone expected
Natural athleticism and movement
A fast learner with sharp instincts
A competitive mindset
The work ethic to train consistently, even in tough periods
