Raising Coaching Standards in UK Padel
About the British Padel Academy
The British Padel Academy is dedicated to raising the standard of padel coaching in the UK, with the goal of improving player development and enhancing club-level performance nationwide.
Founded by Dan Troy, an experienced padel coach with a strong background in sports coaching and a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science, the academy provides expert training from grassroots to GB-level players.
Developing Coaches and Strengthening Clubs
At its core, the academy focuses on developing coaches, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to elevate their players and strengthen the clubs they work in.
By improving coaching standards, the British Padel Academy fosters a culture of excellence that benefits clubs, ensuring a higher level of play and engagement within the sport.
We also offer an Introduction to Coaching course enabling new coaches to learn the foundations whilst also providing a stronger grounding in padel-specific technique to those who already have a coaching background.
Supporting Player Pathways from Grassroots to GB Level
Operating across multiple padel clubs in the UK, the academy not only nurtures future talent but also supports clubs in growing their coaching programmes, enhancing player pathways, and hosting events.
With a proven track record of developing some of the UK’s top players , including the highest-ranking GB player, many of whom represent Great Britain at junior, senior, and veterans’ levels, the British Padel Academy is a driving force behind the sport’s growth and progression in the UK.
Driving Growth and Excellence in UK Padel
The academy’s work is increasingly recognised both nationally and internationally, with clubs regularly seeking advice, support, and collaboration.
A recent spotlight from the World Padel Network highlighted our role in raising coaching standards and shaping the future of padel in the UK.
