MENTORSHIP

MEET OUR GB MENTOR: JAKE BEWLEY

At British Padel Academy, our commitment to excellence goes beyond coaching — it’s about creating a performance culture players can feel. That’s why we’re proud to have a GB Mentor embedded in our academy.

This isn’t just a name-drop or photo-op.

Our GB Mentor, Jake Bewley, is the current Great Britain number 4 and an active member of the men’s national team. What makes this even more special is Jake’s journey: he started as a junior and at 14 was under the guidance of our Head Coach, Dan, learning and developing through the very same training methods we use at BPA today.

Now, having risen to elite level, Jake is back — training with us and giving back to the next generation of players.

Whether it’s offering one-to-one insights, motivating players in group sessions, or simply being someone juniors can look up to, his presence brings elite performance into everyday training.

Most young players only see athletes like this from the stands or on Instagram. At BPA, they get to train with them, talk to them, and learn from them — week in, week out.

This is more than inspiration. It’s mentorship, access, and belief in action.

"It's great to be back working with British Padel Academy and Dan. In the early days, he taught

me so much - not just technical tips on the court, but also about coaching and how to run a club.

To now be training alongside him and the rest of the BPA team feels like things have really

come full circle. I'm really happy with where I am at and excited to keep pushing on with their support" JAKE
