At British Padel Academy, we believe elite coaching is only part of the picture. The real magic happens when young players get to see what’s possible — not just from the sidelines, but right there on court with them.
That’s why we’re incredibly proud to have Jake Bewley, current Great Britain men’s number 2 and national team player, embedded in the academy as a mentor.
But Jake’s story with BPA isn’t just recent — it started years ago. As a junior, Jake trained under Head Coach Dan, using the same coaching methods and mindset frameworks we deliver to players today. His rise through the sport is a testament to what consistent coaching, strong mentorship, and hard work can achieve.

“It’s great to be back working with British Padel Academy and Dan. In the early days, he taught me so much — not just technical tips on the court, but also about coaching and how to run a club. To now be training alongside him and the rest of the BPA team feels like I've come back to where it all started - with a new perspective. I’m really happy with where I am at and excited to keep pushing on with their support.”

How One GB Padel Star Is Giving Back to the Next Generation
Now, having represented Great Britain on the international stage and climbing to GB No. 2, Jake is back — not just as a player, but as a mentor, role model, and motivator for the next generation of athletes coming through BPA.

“It’s not just about inspiring young players — it’s about showing them that with the right support and environment, they can genuinely follow the same path,” says Dan. “Having Jake back with us at BPA is something I’m incredibly proud of. Watching his development from a promising junior into a top GB player — and now seeing him train alongside our team and give back to the next generation — really brings things full circle. With Jake recently earning the GB No.2 ranking, it’s a fantastic moment to celebrate his journey and have him share that experience with our players. He’s a brilliant example of what’s possible through consistency, belief, and a strong coaching culture.”

Whether he’s running drills alongside our players, offering one-to-one insights, or simply sharing what it takes to compete at the top level and be a GB padel player, Jake brings elite performance into everyday training. And for the juniors training at BPA, that kind of access is rare — and powerful.
In a sport where inspiration often comes from a screen, we’re proud to create the kind of on-court experiences that turn belief into action.
Because when young athletes see what’s possible up close, they start to believe it’s possible for them too.
